FC Zurich 2: 0 AFCB - Swiss defeat for Cherries

Just watching some of the twitter comments on the AFCB game tonight had me quite confused. While the first half seemed to pass without much incidence apart from Mario Gavranovic rounding Ryan Allsop for the opening goal. It didn't sound like we mustered any clear chances on gaol.

Eddie Howe made a whopping 10 changes in the second half. Darryl Flahavan had to make saves in the 60th minute from a Leonardo Di Gregorio free kick and then there was some crowd trouble and the game appears to have been stopped for a while before resuming. On 65 minutes Flahavan had to make another save from Marco Schonbachler, but with the last kick of the match Schonbacher got Zurich's second.

Omar Bogle was training with AFCB last week and won a place in the second half. He plays as a striker for Solihull Moors football club of the Conference North league.

Maxim Demin was said to be in attendance to see the game.

Not a great game for our boys but if there are no injuries and their fitness is getting better it won't be such a bad outing. I'm sure there will be something that Eddie will have learnt from tonight's game.It is good to see that new signings Harte, Matthews and Ward had a run out as well as Fraser with Fogden tried in a defensive role by the look of it.
