Bournemouth are just not on it

Eddie Howe was honest in not deflecting the performance that his team gave against Liverpool. The players were poor in giving the ball away to a counter-attacking side and the game will have taught a lot to Lewis Cook and Jordan Ibe in their young careers, and the defence rather buckled in the face of Salah and Coutinho as soon as these players decided to run directly at Bournemouth's back line.
Back to the drawing board for Eddie Howe.
"We're better than that," said Eddie Howe and to some on their day Bournemouth are better than what we saw but on current form they really aren't. The score line of 0-4 was no fluke and could have been much bigger. There were fundamental errors in the defending and while AFCB went out to give Liverpool a game, they made the job easy for Liverpool.

Eddie Howe claims that "We weren't ourselves". But how many times have we said this season that Bournemouth are not the team they were. There is a missing element at the moment. There is not gallivanting force and energy that we are used to seeing and Eddie Howe needs to get the players thinking along the same lines very quickly.

The players have been together for a long time now and they should be switched on for a big game at home when they need the points. It was a real let down for the fans and it comes across in Eddie Howe's post-match interviews. He seems fixed now on the reality that Bournemouth are really in the mire and have to pull out everything if they are to escape the drop this season. I believe he has the players to get the wins but they have to show they want it and at the moment I don't think enough of them really understand what is needed for them to get out of trouble. Like Crystal Palace, West ham and Everton they have to roll up their sleeves and start getting some points.
