This is a fan’s personal view of AFC Bournemouth from the outside looking in. It reports on the daily official activities reported by the club and comments made by individual fans on social media and fanbase websites. Life as an AFCB fan is never dull. As a life-long supporter of the Cherries, it is the friendliness of the staff, fans and my enthusiasm for the club that inspired me to write this blog.

Well played Steve Fletcher - an amazing career
No body wanted this day to come, but Steve Fletcher has decided to hang up his boots and hopes to start another career at AFCB. Cherry Chimes speculated yesterday that the Championship may have come just a year to late for the big man and it has sadly proved to be the case.
Still, Steve will be there with the team and the management staff to pass on his experience at the start of next season I am sure. What a career it has been. I am sure we all have our personal recollections of great performances and special days with Steve Fletcher. I hope you all take a look at some of those early photos on the official AFCB site today and pay tribute to this legend. We really won't see another player like him at AFCB.
I for one would like to see a statue of Steve Fletcher, Eddie Howe, Jason Tindall and Eddie Micthell celebrating the promotion to the Championship installed at Dean Court at some point in the future.
All the best Super.
