Dyche v Howe head to head

Sean Dyche and Eddie Howe have some real Championship pedigree. This game will be a belter between two teams that like to get the ball down and play football. I can't see a nil-nil draw but I could see something as exciting as 3:3, if both teams can attack with no fear.

Dyche (42) has a great record at Turf Moor. He has won 24 of his 54 games in charge at Bunley and has a win ratio of 46.15 per cent. That is a fair bit better than the 17 wins he had as Watford manager from 49 games. But I don't think the Watford squad was any worse than the players he now has at Burnley, who I think have a great team spirit and are slightly over achieving. But some of that must go down to Dyche (Ginger Mourinho) and his management knowing how to get the best out of his players.

It is Burnley's current form that is getting Dyche the headlines, before now he had not really been considered as a leading managerial figure in the Championship. He has had five wins at Turf Moor this season and just the two draws in the league.

That compares very favourably with Eddie Howe's record of four home wins and three home defeats. But AFCB have been threatening to beat one of the top sides away from home with a little more luck and they ave not been totally out of recent matches against Nottingham Forest or Leicester City.

I am sure that Eddie would like to feel that he has played some part in helping create the foundations for Burnley to do well and even if Burnley prove too strong for AFCB in this game I have no doubt that Eddie and Jason will be doing all they can to build similar foundations at AFCB, so that we can become a really strong Championship club.

All leagues are about momentum and sustaining good performances week upon week. AFCB need to find some of that and you have to start with a win somewhere. Burnley will also find that the pressure is mounting on them to keep their impressive run going. What I am sure of is that both managers will want the win and both will probably want to see an improvement on their last outings.
