Should we be looking up the table or at who is below?

Bournemouth sit just six points off the play-off zone and yet similarly six points above the dreaded relegation positions. So is our glass half full or half empty? For the most part I think our fans have enjoyed the results AFCB have achieved this season. There is a crucial period though now when the league really does start to settle down and it will eventually become more difficult to jump more than a couple of places each week. At the moment though a victory at the weekend could propel the Cherries right up six laces and back into the top 10.

Every game is like an FA Cup tie for AFCB.

Looking at the teams above the Cherries they all have much better goal differences because of our earlier heavy defeats. AFCB seem to be in games for longer now and are not being battered by teams which is encouraging. Getting that bit of luck to win some of the tight games is something that AFCB have not managed for a while.

The top six teams have not seen much change in the last few weeks and we can take some satisfaction in that Bournemouth have played Leicester and Forest away and Blackpool at home. But we have Burnley, QPR and Reading coming up and they will be difficult fixtures to get any points from.

Even when we have played teams below us AFCB have not had it all their own way. The Bolton game could have kept us at the right end of the table, but the defeat puts a different complexion to me on how we might fare in AFCB's remaining November games. This league is hard to predict but Burnley, Derby and Brighton are not games that I can see Bournemouth being favourites to win. That is perhaps what was so disappointing about the Bolton game.

But I don't want to be negative and look at those teams below us shortening in numbers. AFCB must try and look up the league and pick up points where they can. A good victory against an in form team above the Cherries would give the team some momentum and that is what the team and supporters have to work towards. UTCIAD!
