Andrew Surman delivers

I was so pleased to see Andrew Surman looking comfortable in his role in the victory against Reading on Saturday. Andrew has found it difficult to win a regular place in the side despite his Premiership credentials. He has played in the last two fixtures though away from home and on each occasion he has looked the part, playing slightly more advanced than Harry Arter and linking up well with Grabban.

AFCB have had a period of not having enough shots on goal. Surman has not actually scored since his return to the south coast, but I feel that he will soon be on the score sheet. He had a moment in the first half against Reading when he had a great opportunity to shoot when placed in the centre D in front of the box, but to the fans' frustration he did not get his shot off. Yet his dummy, from Grabban's pass on the left as the first half grew on, allowed Ritchie to receive the ball in a similar area, which led to AFCB's second goal. 

In the second half Surman had become more daring and freely shot when he had the chance and with a bit more luck he will get there. It is going to become more difficult for Eddie Howe to know which players to leave out of the next game because the players are all starting to spark now, which is great for AFCB fans.
