Creativity and sharp shooting don't come easy

I was looking at the stats after the QPR game and saw that AFCB had more attempts on goal than QPR - 11 vs 16. That would indicate along with the possession stats of 49 to 51 per cent in AFCB's favour that the team is doing some things right, and against one of the top teams.

That AFCB only had three shots on target and QPR had four shots on target, from which they scored three goals tell us something else. We all know, AFCB need to be more clinical in front of goal. While we don't have a proven 20-goal a season Championship goalscorer, there is enough goals in AFCB's team. They are not struggling to be creative or to win opportunities and that should give fans some hope that things can change.

Bournemouth players have to start picking up some wins.

Numbers of course can be misleading and the quality of clear opportunities created are more important than hurried shots that balloon well over the bar. Still, AFCB were very much in the game with QPR who got their goals at the right moments when AFCB looked like doing something themselves. The problem everyone has been talking about though is working the opposition's keeper. It's just not happening enough for AFCB at the moment.

Eddie Howe has tried bringing on Rantie from the bench now and Pitman looked ineffective on his own so I am not sure what will happen for the Reading game. I would love to see a fit Josh McQuoid champing at the bit to get his chance or a sign that Coulibaly was back. It was good to hear that Wes Fogden is nearing a full recovery on AFCB's official website today. Grabban is the only striker I feel Howe will give the green light to to play, if fit, every time, so it's up to the others to start showing that they should be in the team now, although at Reading I expect Grabban to play up front on his own.  

Yesterday, I did tweet that Newcastle's Dan Gosling is being watched by AFCB although he is on loan at Blackpool. One or two additions to AFCB's squad now can perhaps be expected.
