AFCB will look to keep possession against Liverpool

Eddie Howe made it known that he was extremely pleased with the way his team dominated the ball against Watford. It was a match where the conditions were far from easy with heavy rain hampering the touch and control for players, but AFCB managed to adapt very well. They were on the front foot for most of the game which is carried out in the possession stats of 67 per cent to 33 per cent.

will be difficult, but if AFCB take their chances he could be smiling after 90 minutes.

I am not saying that such football will so easy to play against Liverpool next weekend but the signs are that Eddie Howe has a team that is developing fast and if you look at the data for the shots at home they are rising, some 21 attempts against the Hornets. Where the team is struggling is the number of shots on targets which were still only six in the last match and that included two penalties. So getting shots off and on target is something that is still causing so difficulty. There were shouts of over playing the ball among discontented fans and I understand their frustration.

Still I believe that Eddie Howe will direct his players in the best way to enable them to get a win against Liverpool and he'll try and get them to keep the ball. At times they won't be able to and will have to try and thwart Liverpool's fast counters. But the more route one is played by AFCB, the less they will be to hold on to the ball and it would give Liverpool a better chance of picking up those lose balls and coming straight back at the Cherries. At least the Watford game was a good test in playing against a side that likes to dominate in possession.
