All eyes on Allsop

There will be a familiar figure taking to the pitch at Dean Court this season between the sticks when Ryan Allsop returns to the starting line up. It has been a strange period for Ryan who was left out of the team and then suffered a bout of glandular fever. He can only have been inspired by the performances of Lee Camp and now he has an opportunity to do something similar.

Ryan will hopefully not feel too much pressure as he makes his return.
I hope the pressure on him is not too great and that the crowd can be patient with him. Ryan needs to feel that he has the home support behind him on his return and with a good early save I am sure he will be thinking positive thoughts. I imagine he will have been training with the back line who will start against Burton Albion this last week in an attempt to sort out the play from the back. If there was an Ashlie's heel he had it was in distribution for me and I hope he is now past that period.

Allsop has to believe he can make it at Championship level.
The sending off against Leeds was very unfortunate but I believe it had an impact on the Leicester game for Ryan and with the long period to reflect on those two incidences he should have put them to bed now. He should look at things as a fresh and new clean sheet. If he can do that and stop Burton Albion from scoring he will be well on the way to getting AFCB to the fourth round of the cup and who knows, it could be the start of a long spell in goal for Ryan if things in the transfer market conspire against Eddie Howe bringing in Lee Camp on a permanent deal.
