Thank you Mr Hughes

We all knew that this was likely to be Richard Hughes last season and it was clear that he was preparing for life as a TV pundit as we saw him less frequently in the squads. But it has been a good final couple of years for the Scot on the south coast and he has no doubt given a lot of advice to young players like Eunan O'Kane and Ryan Fraser in that time.

We will not forget his statesman like genius in controlling the midfield and his powerful shots that certainly caught a few keepers out over the years. While he had played at a much higher level than at Bournemouth and was at ease in the company of stars like we saw when Real Madrid came to play at Dean Court, I don't think he had many more happier days then when he was brought back to the club by Paul Groves and had the chance to play under Eddie Howe. 

Richard will not have probably expected to have such an eventful last couple of years but I know he will be hoping that AFCB can now go on and achieve more great seasons now that he has decided to call it a day on his playing career.
