Can Stanislas be the sparkle in the diamond for Cherries?

While we have not seen Stanislas kick a ball yet for the Cherries, there is already keen interest to know exactly how he might be used in the team. I am hoping that Eddie Howe does not put him wide on the wings but gives him the chance to play just behind the strikers, so that he gets opportunities to strike the ball just outside the box. We have seen how good he is at long range shooting and it is an area of the game that many Bournemouth supporters were calling out for our players to do at the start of last season.

The player that AFCB have that most often unlocks defences with his shooting from range is Matt Ritchie when he cuts in from the right, but Stanislas has the pace that could really trouble central defenders and it will be exciting to see how he links up with Kermorgant. With the wealth of wide players already at the club I would like to see a powerful runner just behind the striker or strikers. We have already said that McQuoid and Ritchie could do that and Stanislas is certainly another contender. How similar these three players are will be interesting to see and what formation Eddie is most wanting to use next season.

There is no longer a missing piece in the jigsaw upfront alongside Kermorgant. Rantie and Wilson are likely to fill that duty with the latter most likely to start games in my opinion. AFCB will certainly have more pace in the team this time around and we'll have to see whether these players also bring greater shooting accuracy.
