Cherries are looking strong for next season

Eddie Howe must be pleased how things have been working out as a whole this summer. While he might not have secured all his targets the signings of Gosling, Stanislas and Wilson are important and keeping Steve Cook and Simon Francis has signalled that AFCB are going to be looking to push on next season. Now that pre-season training is fully underway there is feeling of optimism in the air that this coming season there will only be thoughts of trying to get into the top six. A draw against FC Copenhagen and a good win against Eastleigh FC has seen the Cherries hungry for goals and fans should be eagerly looking forward to the upcoming fixtures with many new season tickets already in their hands.

AFCB build optimism for a good season.

That is a massive change of outlook from where the club was just 12 months ago. Even as a fan it is hard to get your head around what AFCB has achieved in such a short time. The building is not slowing down in terms of the squad and the infrastructure to be a bigger Championship club and the players always talk with great enthusiasm and pride at wearing the Cherries shirt.

It is a long summer and you get the feeling that thoughts are turning very quickly to the start of the new season now. It is great to hear Eddie Howe's voice again and to listen to his calm and considered views as the club moves forward again. There is a long term vision for the club and it is to be playing at a higher level than where the club currently stands. 

Keeping hold of Steve Cook was a major boost for AFCB this summer.

We are told by Dan Hodges that the players have come back in good shape and their training regimes have hopefully put them a few steps ahead of the oppositions' preparations. AFCB need some luck now with everyone keeping fit and we will soon be on the road again and waving the Cherries' flag.

I am also impressed that Eddie Howe is giving game time to players like Benji Buchel, Bally Cargill and Sam Matthews. I have not heard any news of Joe Partington or Harry Cornick but I also hope they will start to be involved as more of the young squad members try to establish themselves. UTCIAD!
