Kermorgant and Wilson strike force excites

AFCB have announced that Coventry's Callum Wilson is to join the Cherries on a four year contract. It was a huge day yesterday in the transfer market for the Cherries as Wilson's signature really defines their forward attack for next season. Next to Yann Kermorgant, Callum Wilson will show similar aptitudes to Lewis Grabban and the style of play that Eddie Howe's chooses to play is likely to be a development on what we saw last season rather than a revolution.
Let's hope that Kermorgant pictured here and Wilson are
names we constantly hear as goal scorers next season.
The speed of Wilson has been expressed in the media in the last few weeks and AFCB are set to benefit from the youngster's cool finishing techniques. But how quickly Callum and Yann can strike up partnership will be very important. Eddie Howe has the option of turning to Tokelo Rantie, and the signing of Wilson is also beneficial in taking the weight of expectation off of TK as the previous record signing at the club. Whether this helps TK to hone his finishing to higher levels we can only wait and see, but whoever comes off the bench will add power and hopefully goals to the team.

Eddie Howe has clearly looked at the squad he had last season and has decided that he needs more quality not just among the 11 on the pitch but also for goals coming off the bench. AFCB need a high calibre of striker to join play in the second half of matches if things are not going there way. But are Yann and Wilson capable of scoring 40 goals plus a season between them? The best forward duos will score 20 goals each a season and if AFCB are to push for that top end of the table they need hungry strikers who are not afraid to miss a few times.
