Time to roll the sleeves up for AFCB

We saw how well the Cherries did to get a point away at Norwich last month, and the next game against Watford is going to need similar courage from the Cherries to get a result. The season is well under way now and there is little time to reflect on the last match before the next one comes along. In AFCB's case this might not be such a bad thing as they need to get up for the Watford game, and I believe the cameras being at Vicarage Road will help them to do just that.

Bournemouth usually put on a good game for the cameras. The harder the task, the more they can be pleased with their performance if they come away with something. An up turn of results won't just materialise if the players dwell too much on the negatives. Eddie Howe will probably be saying to them that they should remember how they felt to score that great goal against away at Norwich. When Bournemouth have been beaten away this season it was only by one goal at Blackburn Rovers and if they can draw upon those previous away games, and the Huddersfield match for inspiration they should be in a good place come Saturday afternoon.
Can the Cherries step up their performance against Watford?

AFCB have not yet beaten Watford in their last three attempts in league and cup, but that should give them something to aim for. They came close to doing it last January, having drawn 1-1 with them on the last occasion, when they played at Dean Court. The challenge of scoring more than one goal away in today's fixture will be something that I believe Eddie Howe's men will have to do if they are to get anything from the game. At the same time the Cherries will need all 11 players to defend at times, and scoring first is also something we have not seen AFCB do against Watford since the club's return to the Championship.

It's up to the players now to show again that they are a good side and playing a top team like Watford is probably the best sort of game they could wish for after Bournemouth's recent run, because a draw or a win would change players' and fan's outlook on matters considerably. Enjoy the game today, whether you are at the match or watching on Sky or listening to the radio. UTCIAD!
