Improving Wednesday may still struggle against Cherries

Sitting comfortably in mid-table, Sheffield Wednesday have begun the season okay but are one of those teams that seem to fall away when they need to build on their results. It has been a month since their last win against Reading and they have had a tough run of late to be fair playing Ipswich, Brentford and Norwich who have all started well among other teams. But Wednesday's most recent match against Charlton gives the best indication of where their season might be headed. They are getting close to beating teams away from home more frequently and they find it easier to play away from home at the moment.

At home the crowd behind them is massive, but they are yet to really get going there. I suspect that the visit of Bournemouth will bring the home supporters out in their numbers as AFCB's position in the league now makes them a big scalp. Wednesday are capable of raising their game and we know they have had some high scoring contests with AFCB in recent games between the two.

At present, Wednesday are only averaging 0.8 goals a game. AFCB have to keep things tight and grow on the frustrations of the home crowd for this game. Watford were the last team to beat Wednesday at their ground in mid-October and they did so quite convincingly 0-3. AFCB may not do that well but the Cherries can look upon this game and the Middlesbrough match as games where every point is a bonus having gathered so many points of late.

If AFCB take anything away from their meeting with the Chuckle Brothers in their hotel last night, I just hope it is 'from me to you', as far as passing goes and that the Cherries can add a third away win in a row to their record.

What are your score predictions?
