Ritchie ready to go again

Matt Ritchie's delight was written all over his face after scoring the winning goal at Wolves. He is one player that AFCB have really needed to come to the party with some goals and he is delivering now. Early on in the Wolves match he tried his luck from distance which is becoming quite characteristic of recent games. Getting Ritchie into shooting positions is of course what Eddie Howe wants to see and the fast movement of Bournemouth's play in the last third is starting to see that happen now.
Matt Ritchie has found his scoring boots.
From his post match interview Matt admitted that he fancied us to win the game once Harry Arter had pulled the Cherries level. Ritchie might not have thought that the winning goal would come his way but he always tries to make himself available with his arms out wide, calling for the ball whenever he is free and in and around the box.

Just before Ritchie scored he had an effort well saved by Ikeme seconds earlier, and Matt was so sure it was going in that he was already about to celebrate, before the keeper made a good save to his left. I like the way that he still feels he could do things better. It shows that he still wants to better player.

"I though I'd scored the first one," said Matt. "I hit it with my right foot around the body and I was celebrating and he's plucked a good save out." He was equally modest about his winner as well saying : "it came back out to me and I managed to scuff one with my laces and luckily it went in."

I am quite happy for Matt to scuff a few more shots if they end up in the back of the net. Certainly the win has injected life into the team and Matt was so delighted with the three points that he said he is ready to go again. He has had to wait a few days for this next match against Cardiff but he is starting to find the net on a regular basis now and for his confidence it would be great of he could the same again this weekend.
