Show your Championship credentials

The crunch match this weekend of Wolves v AFCB is perhaps not going to be quite the game we expected a few weeks ago. Back then both Wolves and Bournemouth had been flying and both teams will be desperate to take all three points in this match to get their charge back up the table going.

It's time for the Cherries to show their class.

I suspect that this will not be a dull affair, but one of the most exciting games of the weekend. Both teams like to attack and a thriller could be on the cards. For Bournemouth fans the trip to Molineux has been a long time in coming. I believe the 1989-90 season was the last time the two appeared in a league fixture, although AFCB had a league cup win at Wolves in 1998-90. To be fair, Wolves have graced the higher leagues while AFCB have been nurtured the lower ones all to frequently.

For both teams the heat is really on now to improve and keep pace with the leaders in the division. As the first game in December it is important to get that good start for the festive period as it can carry a team right though this section of the season as Bournemouth fans found last season with the away win at Reading. The pressure is different now though as AFCB are not looking over their shoulder at those behind but looking to climb higher. The Cherries have shown themselves to be a good team when chasing those above them but they really need to show their Championship credentials now as do Wolves.
