Transfer watch: AFC Bournemouth in cheeky move to entice back Lewis Grabban

Transfer watch

This morning's Sun newspaper has a story tucked away inside the back pages that AFCB asked new Norwich City manager Alex Neil if he would let Lewis Grabban come back to Dean Court on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent move in the summer. While Alex Neil rejected the approach out of hand it would appear that such a move would do much to try and rubber stamp a sustained Cherries' promotion push.
Lewis Grabban could be the subject of a bid from AFCB this transfer window.
Lewis Grabban moved to Norwich last summer for a fee of around £3.5m the tabloid reports and while he will be on a much higher salary now than he was when he played in front of the seasiders it has been reported in the press that AFCB are looking to sign two strikers with salaries of up to £30,000 this transfer window. Some how I don't think this is the end of the Cherries pursuit of Lewis Grabban. The former Cherry is well liked by Eddie Howe and has all the qualities that he is looking for to make AFCB's strike force stronger than it already is. Callum Wilson has done well in the first part of the season but if he can be helped by another striker who has experience of plenty of goals at this level then that share of the workload can only help Callum.

On Saturday there were quite a few boos but then sudden applause as Lewis Grabban warmed up for Norwich City on the sidelines. Some in the crowd wanted to know that AFCB are doing pretty well without Lewis' services by chanting, "We've got Callum Wilson, he's better than you!" But how much stronger would the Cherries be if they had both strikers in their starting line up?

I have set up a poll to ask if you would like Lewis Grabban back or not in this transfer window?
