Who is going to give Cherries more spark?

The sudden gut feeling that AFCB had during January to bring in a player like Demarai Gray is perhaps looming large now as Eddie Howe tries to find a new spark to his team's performances. It is not that the players are suddenly not able to do what they have managed for so long, but it is becoming a little more evident that a bit of variation to AFCB's play might be needed and that could come from the introduction of a new player through the loan system - that player could be Glenn Murray of Crystal Palace, who both Ipswich and AFCB are said to be interested in.

hoped would have had a bigger impact since signing for the Cherries.

Ryan Fraser has not been able to show his spark much this season.

There are times when teams fall off the high levels they have been able to achieve during a season and getting back on track is hard when you can't see an easy solution with what you have. It is rather annoying that Eunan O'Kane is out of action at the moment as well as Dan Gosling as both players have the kind of energy and ability to open up defences that would be a big help to the team now, especially with Harry Arter now out for the Brentford and Nottingham Forest games.

Eddie Howe certainly feels that something is missing from the Cherries play at the moment when speaking after the Huddersfield match. "I do feel we were just missing a spark today for whatever reason," he said. "I thought we were controlled. I though we played some very good football, but we did miss in that middle third, final third, someone who could turn the game in our favour or someone who could beat a man or turn all that possession into more chances."

As disappointing as that is, it is not going to do much good if the players beat themselves up over it. They still have an excellent chance of achieving something special this season and the recent run of results should not be simply dismissed as a poor series of games as AFCB are actually unbeaten in four games now. The annoyance is that the Cherries have been ahead in matches against Norwich, Derby and Huddersfield from the start of this year and have not converted any of those home games into wins.

AFCB have always had dynamism and plenty of ammunition going forward but as teams find away to play against the Cherries at Dean Court, Eddie Howe will have to find something extra to avoid too many more frustrating days. The loan market is one option, but a change in formation or personnel from the squad members already at his disposal may just freshen things up in time. UTCIAD!
