There's no stopping Callum Wilson

We knew that the Cherries had a great striker in Callum Wilson. We believed that he was the most important player to keep hold of over the summer. While the first couple of games saw him draw a blank, he only needed a slice of luck to get his goalscoring going and he is unlikely to look back now, which is a sobering thought to teams yet to face the Cherries.

Wilson is already getting noticed.

It has already been said that Roy Hodgson may have to look at Callum Wilson sooner rather than later with the form of players like Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane not yet hitting great form, unless we count San Marino as a reasonable test. Recently Hodgson gave Leicester's Jamie Vardy a call up, which shows that he is at least looking at alternatives. Callum is certainly not going to go unnoticed when he is sitting at the top of the Premier League goal scoring table either. 

Wilson's variety of goals are also worth mentioning. He has shown how he can pounce in the box by beating defenders to the ball and he continues to be accurate from the penalty spot, but scoring special goals like the overhead kick against leicester is something that either comes naturally to a striker or it doesn't. Wilson's desire to score is immense and to score at home is something that I expect he was more eager to do than anything else. He has the first home and away goals for the team and now that he is putting chances away it will be an ideal time to do some work with Lee Tomlin and Glenn Murray to see if Eddie Howe can get them working together well.

It was vital for AFCB to get one of their strikers scoring early and now that Callum is hitting form they look more like a side that can score in any game. Other players will also benefit from Wilson doing well. They will see him converting his chances and it should bring out an improvement in other player's performances. Max Gradel himself already mentioned that having seen the way the team played at West Ham, he knows that he made the right decision to come back to the Cherries, even though he'll be devastated to be out for so many matches now. The signs are good and Wilson is certainly helping to carry the team in the Premier League at the moment. When Arter returns and Ritchie starts to see more luck in front of goal, we may see AFCB start to challenge the usual hierarchy in the Premier League.
