AFCB must keep their foot on the pedal

The Premier League table is looking a bit better than it has for AFCB in the last few weeks. I had only just got my voice back after the Chelsea match, but I've lost it again after cheering Eddie Howe's men on against Man Utd! Keeping the unbeaten run going now though is the challenge for the Cherries and if they can do that the New Year may see further growth and transformation of this south coast side.
All smiles. Adam Smith and Dan Gosling have much to be
pleased about with their recent performances.
The remaining fixtures in December may not have quite the significance for fans as Chelsea and Man Utd, but it is important that the players and the fans get up for all the games if they want the team to keep rising up the league. There is no pre-decided ticket to where AFCB will finish this season and a couple of defeats would put the team back in a sticky place again. For the moment though it is good to know that there is a possibility of finishing this year on a high with matches against WBA, Crystal Palace and Arsenal coming up in quick succession. I wanted 19 points for AFCB by the end of Boxing Day and the recent points have put the Cherries in with a chance of reaching that target now.

Howe is looking forward to taking on Tony Pulis' side, but he has a lot of
respect for him being the man that was at AFCB when Eddie started out.

The next three games though will be a huge indicator of what kind of season AFCB will have in 2015-16. The match against WBA is probably what most would call a six pointer and to take on high flying Palace and Arsenal and get something from those games is going to be extremely tough.

There is no way of thinking that the hard work is done having beaten two top sides in a row. The Premier League does not suddenly become easy and Eddie Howe has to keep the players' minds on winning games over the Christmas period which has traditionally been a good time for the Cherries to pick up points. Enjoy teh game today if you are going up to the Black country - UTCIAD!
