It must have been hard for Lewis sitting in the stands last Saturday as he saw his team-mates take on his ex-team-mates in front of a packed Dean Court. He may not have looked that ill and could well have had a gentleman's agreement not to play against Norwich, but he will not want to miss out another game and should be looking forward to vying for the place to spearhead AFCB's attack on Saturday.
Benik Afobe has done extremely well in his two games so far for the Cherries but he himself has mentioned that he prefers playing in a striking partnership in the no 10 role. That would suggest that he might be keen to play alongside Lewis Grabban who is used to leading the line for AFCB and much of his success in the past cam that way.
Such a set-up would mean a change in midfield and I have a feeling that Eddie Howe will look to see who needs a break having already rested Matt Ritchie for a game. It could be that Andrew Surman is given the chance to step aside for a match that is against one of the lower placed teams that perhaps would be the best time to go to a 4-4-2 formation.
If so, it will be a very busy week in training for Afobe and Grabban this week who will need to work out how they are going to make their runs and see what works best for them. Lewis will want to get going as soon as possible. Having seen Benik do well he will want to register on the scoresheet as well and both strikers are probably fortunate that they are likely to get an opportunity straight away with Josh King still getting back to fitness and Glenn Murray perhaps still finding how he can best adapt to AFCB's playing style. Yet, if you look at the goal chart you'll find that Glenn already has five goals this season which is equal top.
The striker choice will depend on many factors but I suspect that even Eddie Howe will want to see how Lewis and Benik would do in a pressurised match and whether they can take the game away from Sunderland rather than stringing five across midfield.
