Cook was more delighted with Gradel's goal than his own

Well Steve Cook may start asking to play up front with his current scoring record. He admitted that he had reached his goals total for the season when he netted with his header against Swansea which earned AFCB all three points. Now he might well see if he can try and score a goal of the season contender or at least see if he can out score Charlie Daniels as they both have three goals now with eight games to go.
Steve Cook is still planning on scoring more goals.
Personal targets I think are great to have especially when you manage to achieve them. Steve Cook knows he will not get many chances to score, but every goal he does get is a big bonus for the team and when it make such a difference with three points rather than one, it is always a massive goal. So Steve was pretty pleased with himself for his days work at Dean Court and yet the closeness of the team was seen again by the comments he made after the match about his pleasure at seeing Max Gradel score in the game.

"We've targeted these four games and I think it's enough now," said Steve Cook "But I'm just delighted for this guy here [standing next to Max Gradel]. "He's spent a long time out and he has been terrific for us when he's come back. And to get the goal today, I'm delighted for him. He deserves it and I think it tops off the whole performance to be honest."

AFCB move on now to some very difficult games, but there is no reason for them not to be confident going into the next few fixtures. Steve Cook was more than slightly disappointed to know that Swansea scored two goals against them and if the team can set itself some new targets like a clean sheet against Spurs then they may have more things to be delighted about in the coming weeks.
