Is Grabban getting back to his best?

I know there has been a lot of division about the qualities and value of spending £7m on bringing Lewis Grabban back to AFCB. For some he'll never do right in their eyes and some footballers just have to accept that when it happens to them, but I like to judge a player on what he does now for his team and whether he is putting in the work or not and I've seen a change in Lewis Grabban from what I have watched in previous weeks.

Lewis Grabban at Villa Park.
It may be that with fitness comes more confidence for Lewis. At Aston Villa he was easily man of the match for me and it was great to see him regaining some of the touch and energy that was key for gaining the initiative in the match. Lewis showed he is hard working and like former years he put himself about and pulled the opposition all over the place by asking for the ball whenever he could. He was fully engaged and I'm hoping that he can continue to put performances in like that because when he does it is more like having an extra player.

While Lewis did not get the goal that I think he so wants, he did make Brad Guzan have to make a save. That was as early as five minutes and had he scored it may have been an even better scoreline, but it did not matter in the end. Now Lewis has more competition with the return to fitness of Callum Wilson and it is vital for him to try and make his partnership with Josh King work if he is to retain his starting place.

The options for Eddie Howe up front are bright even if he would like to have Junior Stanislas and Glenn Murray available as well. All the strikers seem to want the ball and want to be the one who nets for the Cherries and as long as they are taking the responsibility on of shooting, I'm not to worried who gets the goals. Both Josh and Lewis certainly went for goal when they had the chance and hopefully that will continue.
