The subs were the major plus from the Liverpool match

The Cherries set out with the right intentions in the match against Liverpool but they didn't really get out of their starting blocks until the second half. The substitutions for Junior Stanislas and Max Gradel were needed as the Cherries lacked any real attacking presence alongside Josh King and Eddie Howe may himself wonder if he started with the right team against Liverpool.

For me it was a surprise to see Lewis Grabban on the bench after his strong display at Aston Villa. The front man has been slow to find his feet again in the side but in the last two games we have seen his confidence grow and he is making better decisions on the ball. It may be playing on his mind that he has not yet scored but he came very close to doing that against Liverpool and it surely won't belong before he does get his first goal since his January move.
I was also impressed with Marc Pugh. The tricky winger has had to be back up to Max Gradel of late but with Max not finding any penetration against Liverpool, it was Pugh that was putting crosses in and giving the strikers something to feed off. I hope that Marc is given the nod in the next game as he is starting to look to beat his man and just get his cross in first time which is what I've been waiting to see. He knows he can't over do it in the Premier League and his game has changed in that he is trying to do things quicker and first time now which is giving him half a yard on players from the off.

It would not surprise me if the finishing 11 are the ones that start the next home game. Eddie must get them to fire much earlier on though.
