AFCB's should just look upwards

It's easy to get carried away with the last match defeat and think that the side is taking one step forward and two steps back. This Bournemouth side is the most talented that the fans have ever had the privilege to watch and they currently sit in the league's pyramid system with only nine clubs above them and last year's champions still below them. There's been progress all the way and if Eddie Howe thinks there's more to come it should be a very good season.
Simon Francis and Steve Cook have made
Dean Court a hard place for visiting teams to come to.
If there is anything to be down about it is the addition of Andrew Surman to the injury list. Having pulled up in the last match to leave AFCB with just 10 men on the pitch, it was a great effort from the players left in the game not to concede again and to come close to scoring themselves. That showed me that the spirit in the team is doing fine and while the vice captain will be out for the next few weeks with a hamstring pull, there's still plenty of cover in the central midfield area.

The travelling fans did have reason to be disappointed with the Riverside visit and the players no doubt felt more sorry for them than they did for themselves. There is plenty to be pleased about though looking forward. The Black Cats are not in great form themselves and AFCB's players know they will be given a noisy reception by the AFCB crowd. If there is a good time to play the bottom side in the league it is now, when the Cherries need to find their rhythm again.

When the Cherries do find their rhythm they are very impressive. At Dean Court they have been excellent. It's a time to go again and draw on the positives from previous games rather than dwell too long on the mistakes. There's is much to like about Eddie Howe's youthful side and they will no doubt impress again soon.
