Benik Afobe has to move his game on now

We have seen Benik struggle to get some confidence in games, and with Eddie Howe finally giving him a start he had a good go at repaying the manager. He is finding space in the box and just has to sharpen up his finishing at times. He could have had three or four goals at Turf Moor on another day and he has to look at that now, and understand if he can make better contact with his final shots in the weeks to come.

Benik Afobe got his first goal for AFCB in the
Premier League this season at Turf Moor.
I can't remember seeing Callum Wilson running out with Benik Afobe for the start of a game before. It was a great decision in a way by Eddie Howe as it will have taken Sean Dyche by surprise, even if it did not ultimately pay off. The idea might have worked better if Hendrick had not scored his belter against the run of play, but it took Benik along time to really get into the game against Burnley and if AFCB line up this way you'd hope that the distance between Wilson and Afobe was much closer so that they could affect the game more.

The chance that I think Benik will be upset about not finishing was at the start of the second half when Charlie Daniels picked him out well. Not to make Tom Heaton work was a real crime. Afobe's goal at the end of the first half though was an excellent move and it's such goals that make the game look very simple. Afobe knew where he was going to shoot before the ball even came to him.

Scoring more than one goal away from home is something that AFCB can take from the Burnley defeat. Yet, when Benik could have scored so any more on the day you can see there is more to come from him.
