Fraser has really mastered his role

Fraser has come of age.
It was another fabulous game for Ryan Fraser against a top six side when he limped off, after 68 minutes against Arsenal. It was a pity that he had to come off as he had owned the left wing on the night. He has started to score goals in big games and he has become a big game player for AFCB.

Ryan Fraser is not a regular starter, but Eddie Howe may now think that he is the man to turn to when the top teams come to town. Ryan seems to relish playing against top defenders and he is certainly not afraid to mix it with the big names. He has learnt to get the right side of players as well when running into the box and it's no fluke that he wins penalties regularly by getting in front of defenders and making them make a rash challenge to try and stop him.

You don't have to be just quick though to play on the wing, you have to be a quick thinker. Ryan plays things very intelligently in making triangles to slip in between defenders and get early crosses in. He has had some good wingers to learn from at AFCB and it appears that he is now delivering on a level that is saying he has arrived in the Premier League. Eddie has lots of problems knowing who he can pick each week and Ryan is going to make it no easier for him.

Where Ryan will have to push others aside though is by getting consistent performances in. If he can do that then he will soon find he is commanding his place in the team and I think he is may be not so far away from claiming that. Eddie Howe always wanted to hold on to Ryan even when he went out on loan at Ipswich and I'm sure he sees him as a long term project that is already starting to repay the club far more than his transfer fee.
