Is the first 2017 win for AFCB going to come against West Ham?

The big question ahead of this weekend's match is just whether AFCB can finally record a three point win in 2017? Eddie Howe come problems in being unable to keep the same back four that was up at Old Trafford, while Andrew Surman will also drop out of midfield. But home matches are the side's best chance of picking up points, and the visit of West Ham can push AFCB much closer to safety, if the fans can create an atmosphere that rekindles the spirit of the fight back at Old Trafford.
Home form gloom must be lifted now.
AFCB can't afford to lose any of their momentum now. The two home games coming up are huge and it is critical that they get the results in these games. West Ham are in a stronger league position and they are very good at late at beating sides away from the London stadium. Southampton and Middlesbrough have been blown away in recent encounters and the stat watchers will know that the Hammers have only failed to score in two of their away matches this season - Leicester and Everton.

Hopefully, the thorough examination that Bournemouth had at Man Utd will put them in the mood to be stubborn at the back. They'll need Boruc to pull out some saves though looking at West Ham's record. It has been a long time since Dean Court saw an AFCB victory - 13th December v Leicester City. That has to be updated quickly and once the team gets this elusive win I am confident that the pressure on them will start to ease off a little so that they can play with less anxiety.

Eddie Howe will be encouraged that all the players that got on the field at Old Trafford put in a performance. He needs players to be in top form now and with some players coming back, such as Ibe and Gradel and perhaps Stanislas, it is good that there are some competitive options again at last.

In other news, AFCB have been fined £35,000 for anti-doping breach. It seems that AFCB are the new bad boys of English football this week.
