What can Ryan Fraser add to his game?

Ryan Fraser was one of the highlights of last season. Breaking into the Scotland team was a proud moment for him and he is starting to make the game look simple with his energy and enthusiasm for it. There is not much that Ryan does wrong when he goes at defenders and he makes great decisions now in and around the box. He may hope to get on the score sheet more often, but his appetite to set up goals and hit the target himself are making him one of the players that neutrals look at whenever AFCB play.

His period at Ipswich was a good grounding for him. He works hard now to get back and covers well and he is not afraid to take a tumble or two by running full pelt at defenders. While AFCB won 10 penalties last season and five of them were won by Fraser. When you add in his three goals and five assists, it's fair to say that Fraser has really arrived in the Premier League.

Eddie Howe tried to see how well Fraser would do as a number 10 towards the end of last season and this could be where he gets more opportunities to play next season. With Jack Wilshere now back at Arsenal, Howe could well view Fraser as a player with similar traits that make him one to develop in this role. Fraser has the ability to dribble and pass players quickly and if he can add even better finishing to his game he could find the wing his second position.

Wherever Fraser plays though he has that excitement factor that the crowd really crave and when he gets on the ball in the opposition's half there is an expectancy that something amazing might happen, The Liverpool home game was probably the making of Fraser, but Eddie Howe will be looking to get Fraser being as consistent as that over a longer period of games now - that should be Fraser's goal for 2017-18.
