Defoe calls for club to stick together

Jermain Defoe knows all about poor starts to a season. He is clear though that AFCB are no Sunderland. The results have been poor and the performances just as bad, but there is great talent at AFCB and they have not managed to bring that out in games yet.

Jermain Defoe has seen bad starts plenty of times before
but he feels that AFCB have to much to be down the bottom for long.
Defoe is of an opinion that there should not be any panic after just four games. He is right, of course. But he also knows that the Brighton game is now a must win and for such an early stage in the season for AFCB's players to be thinking that way, it is a harsh reality. "The next game is massive for us. Hopefully, we will bounce back and kick-start our season," said Defoe.

A lot of the clubs that get stuck in the bottom three do have a lack of unity and additional problems to just carrying out their game on the pitch. But Bournemouth don't seem a club with deep seated problems. The manager has been at the club for many years and has picked them out of rough situations before. The whole squad have to see this as a test and one that they need to come through.

The sense that AFCB can change their run of results is still there, but it has to come from the team. The pressure is building and the only way it will be released is with AFCB hitting a few goals and getting points. They need that feeling of celebration when a goal goes in to get united again rather than looking at each other for reasons why things aren't working out.

Yes, it's about sticking together. And yes, the tension will be there on Friday night. But having that edge to a game just could give AFCB the kick-start they are seeking.
