Eddie Howe has been through his fair share of tough times when managing football clubs in the Championship and even in League One and Two, but this is his most testing period by far and he will be finding out things about himself and his players now that might not be something he likes. We know Eddie hates losing and he won't rest until he gets the team back to their best. He knows there is no magic wand and that hard work is where he and the team will make progress, but if the results still don't come what is he left with?
AFCB have shown in spells that they can live with the best, but Eddie has not found it so easy to help the team stay ahead. He must solve this and much of this perhaps lies in who he puts on as subs and when they are put on. Eddie needs to find a stronger second half team if he is to improve this spell of results in my opinion.
All we can hope is that Eddie comes through this period as a better manager and with a better team that can react better to disappointing games with the more quality in their next matches and a winning mentality.

Eddie is not a quitter and has said he believes in his team. If they are good enough though to stay in the Premier League then they have to find teat level they need in the upcoming games. The honeymoon period of being thrilled just to be in this league has probably past. Now we are in the period where enthusiasm and energy won't always get you over the line. Quality and perfection is what AFCB need to obtain and in every department. While AFCB only have to finish higher than three teams to stay up, they have to keep a steady nerve when they go to top places like Wembley or go to a ground where the opposition is in the bottom six. Every game counts.

Eddie Howe has the problem of trying to keep not only his morale but everyone else's up as well. It's never a fun place when you are not winning and yet the team is not playing so badly now that points seem impossible to get. But being close to getting wins and getting over the line is what it's all about. Howe needs his players to be better when they play the second half of games. There is always much emphasis on making the quick start, which are important if you can get the first goal, but second half goal against are what have hurt the Cherries this season - think of the Man City, Everton, Watford games.
