Bournemouth should view Carabao Cup quarter-final as a free hit

Few people will give Bournemouth much hope of progressing further in the Carabao Cup tonight. Chelsea will be huge favourites at home. It is not a draw that did Bournemouth any favours but when you get to the later stages of a cup you ant to go up against the best teams and win for the cup to mean something and a match against Chelsea in the cup is like a free hit for Eddie Howe and Bournemouth.
Bournemouth find they are playing cat and mouse
with Chelsea, but they need to show some fight tonight.
There are no points riding on this game and it's a clean sheet with a result happening by the end of the night, even if it is penalties. Bournemouth can try to forget about their previous league game and just focus on the evening and what a win could do to their morale. Many teams would love to be in Bournemouth's position so AFCB should go to Stamford Bridge and give it everything they have. There is never any forgone conclusions in football and anything can happen.

I am hoping that Eddie sets his side up with a bit of caution for this match as Chelsea will certainly drive the game. It will be all about Bournemouth keeping their shape and finding their passes and not beating themselves which we see too often at present. Eddie will be looking for some positivity in the play, and it may be one individual who can get Bournemouth moving better again like it was in the last round when Jack Simpson had such a strong game.

With the first team not having a great time of it, there is a chance here for someone to push themselves in front of the manager and get seen. I don't believe any place in the first team is currently that safe perhaps with the exception of Asmir Begovic in goal. So for Bournemouth it is a game when they should try and enjoy the spectacle and take in the atmosphere to help them raise their performance levels. The players just might surprise themselves and make a bit of history. UTCIAD!
