Gosling will test himself against Spur's best players

I was enjoying the coverage of Dan Gosling this week on AFCB TV of all his touches he made against Leicester City last weekend. Dan is one of the unsung heroes of the squad and it is really pleasing to see him get a decent run in the team for once and manage to keep the shirt with such strong performances.
Dan will try and boss the midfield against Spurs.
I don't think Gosling gave the ball away very often up at the King Power and his first thought is always to play the ball forward. He may sometimes ask a bit much of his team-mates to get hold of his passes, but of late he has been tigerish in the centre in winning tackles and pushing the team forward.

His abilities will be tested even more against Spurs this weekend. It is a good chance for him to show that he can be as influential as players like Dembele and Dier in the Spur's midfield. He may be more slight in stature, but Dan makes a nuisance of himself and hassles players well when they are in possession. I think AFCB have improved when they haven't got the ball because Gosling is doing so much covering, it's something that the touch video won't show you, but you hardly ever see Gosling walking. He's always on the move.

Gareth Southgate may be keen at looking at Lewis Cook and some of the Spurs players in this game but they could be overshadowed by Dan Gosling who is capable of running the show as we saw up at Chelsea in the league cup quarter-final. Dan is a man for a big occasion and the visit of Spurs is the kind of high profile game where Dan will want to do well.
