Francis brings winning mentality to Cherries

The need to get Simon Francis back into the team will not be lost on Eddie Howe. It is quite amazing that AFCB have not won a Premier League game without their captain and when he has an extended time off the pitch it is a not a good sign for the Cherries. But there is a good chance that Simon might be available for the Crystal Palace game and that gives the tam a winning mentality.
Will Simon Francis make it back in time to take on Crystal Palace?
Simon Francis will be writing his captain's notes for the programme this week aware that Bournemouth are just a win away from reaching the 40 point mark.If Bournemouth need a talisman to get that win then Simon Francis is the man. Familiarity breathes confidence and to have Simon Francis leading out the team will put the players at ease to go about their work.

In the last couple of games when Francis was playing he was back in-form and was tackling with more authority. Against Crystal Palace Francis would be up against Wilfred Zaha which will be one of the contests of the game. Francis will want to be in the game just to take on this challenge and if he wins that battle its likely that Bournemouth will win the game.

The next match for Simon is also significant as it will be his 100th appearance in the Premier League. But this season has only seen him make 27 appearances to date which is well behind all 38 games he played in 2015/16 even if he plays in all remaining matches. Being suspended and injuries have kept Francis out of the team at times but the win ratio with him in the tam makes it a no brainer for Eddie Howe to play him if he is ready on Saturday.
