Swansea City will be no easier than Southampton for the Cherries

A few weeks ago Bournemouth fans might have been pretty content that Swansea City would be coming to Dean Court at the start of May. Swansea have had a tricky season and they had to beat some top sides just to get out of the bottom few places in the New Year. Now the pressure is really on Swansea with two massive games in the space of three days that will decide where they play football next season.

Bournemouth come up against Swansea City having drawn earlier in the season at the Liberty Stadium. Such a result this time around would be well received by most Bournemouth fans meaning that they could at least watch a stress-free last match against Burnley. Bournemouth got nothing against Southampton but they really need to get something against Swansea.

Swansea are now just a point above the relegation zone and a defeat could put them back in the bottom three. They will fancy their chances though against Bournemouth who have let in two goals or more in their last five games. I'd hate to think that Bournemouth fans having played a game more than most of the chasing sides will be watching matters elsewhere hoping that results go there way so that the Burnley result doesn't matter.

For Swansea this is like a bonus game where they can get three points before having two crunch matches against Southampton and Stoke. It's a great run of games that Swansea have and if they win against Bournemouth they would be confident of staying up. Eddie Howe said that Bournemouth's problem is that all the teams the Cherries have remaining to play have something big to play for.

38 points should be good enough for safety, but it doesn't feel that AFCB's players have covered themselves with glory if they finish up on less than 40 points. It is a huge game against Swansea City and for there to be a good feeling over the summer, AFCB need a special performance.
