The Daily Mirror has dampened down the potential for a move for Dominique Calvert-Lewin to the Cherries yesterday, after the player is said to want to remain at Goodison to fight for his place under new manager Marco Silva. The Cherries are keen to find England stars of the future, and Calvert-Lewin would fit the picture having become a regular in Everton's side before January when Sam Allardyce bought in Cenk Touson.
Bournemouth's linking with strikers has continued and it would seem that Howe is not happy with his current crop of forwards ahead of the new season. Whether Calvert-Lewin would fit straight into a Bournemouth side is questionable, but it does raise the question of how many forwards are AFCB looking to sell themselves this summer? If Howe could get in a striker of the calibre of Calvert-Lewin, would he agree to part with Josh King? I would hope not, but with the Cherries clearly looking for new strike options, I don't think we can rule out the possibility of front-line player sales this summer.
The Cherries need to progress on what they have achieved already on the Premier League and it is perhaps time for a shake-up.
Note, Premier League fixtures for 2018/19 are released tomorrow and you may have noticed that there is a certain World Cup competition starting in Russia as well!

Signing for Everton for just £1.6m from Sheffield Utd in 2016, Everton could make quite a tidy profit if they did decide Calvert-Lewin was surplus to requirements. The 21-year-old has some time to impress the new Everton manager, but AFCB could test the waters later in the summer window to see if the striker was looking likely to spend time on the bench next season at Goodison.
