Should AFCB look to sell Aussie defender?

Eddie Howe has made a lot of signings since his return to the club but not all of them have been instant successes. Brad Smith is one player who must be wondering whether it was a good move for him to leave Liverpool to join Bournemouth. Since coming to AFCB he has made five Premier League appearances, all in 2016-17. However, last season he was restricted to cup games. Should he move on?

Is time running out for Brad Smith?

Brad Smith is 24 and should be a player that is at least challenging for a starting place in AFCB's side every week. Yet, Charlie Daniels has kept Smith out of the team and having had two seasons on the south cost, Smith must wonder what he has to do to get some games. It's easy to question his appetite for wanting to play as he had just as much difficulty at Liverpool. But Liverpool are a top club and AFCB are fighting to stay in the Premier League each season. Why hasn't Brad made a breakthrough yet?

Brad has been injured for part of his time at AFCB having played for Australia and been injured. Still, others have managed to force their way into the team after injuries. I am starting to question whether Eddie Howe made a wrong choice. He saw something in Brad  to want to sign him and if he has not built on that potential should we be asking whether Howe has done enough with the player?

The clock as to be ticking on Brad Smith's AFCB's career. The Cherries haven't got a squad big enough to have to carry players that never get a game. If Howe has made a mistake, I hope he is big enough to admit to it and let the player move on. Otherwise, it is about time that the club came out with some reasons why Brad Smith was signed as sitting on the bench is not the sign of a player that was brought in, because he was better than what AFCB already had at the club.
