He is at the age when he will be at the peak of his fitness and I'm excited that if he does start getting goals at the start of next season he will soon be considered to an England call up.

Eddie Howe obviously sees that Surman's legs can last more than for next season, even though I felt he struggled in 2017/18 to find consistent form. I wonder though whether after next season he will combine coaching with a playing role.
