The way Leicester City play has changed and they are passing the ball much more than in the season when they won the title. They have not been able to rely on Vardy's pace quite as much, although he should be back for the encounter with the Cherries. What stands out though in their statistics for the four games played this season is that Leicester are having trouble in creating really good chances to score.
It is surprising that Leicester are not creating many more chances as they have a high cross rate of 72, compared to Bournemouth's 59 crosses. Leicester are getting in behind teams, but are they picking out players in the box? Well, they have a pass accuracy percentage of 82 per cent which also better than Bournemouth's 77 per cent, but Leicester's cross accuracy is 12 per cent compared to the Cherries' 29 per cent. Their passing in games averages 461.5 per game, which is also much higher than Bournemouth's which stands on 364.5 per game.

So far Puel's side are on average making four good chances per game to score, according to the Premier League stats. Their shooting accuracy stands at 41 per cent and yet they have had 39 shots at goal and have hit the woodwork just once. Howe does that compare with Bournemouth? The Cherries have a worse shooting accuracy of 31 per cent and have managed 49 shots at goal, and have also hit the woodwork once. Shots on target for Leicester are 16 but Bournemouth are only one behind on 15.

On paper the two sides look fairly evenly matched, but both teams have not been at their best in front of goal. The defending side of Leicester's game has seen 12 blocked shots and 111 clearances, whereas Bournemouth have managed nine blocked shots and 118 clearances. Leicester tackle well with 75 per cent success rate compared to Bournemouth's 62 per cent. This may be where Howe will need to see some improvement with Lerma adding more grit in the tackles. Bournemouth also fall behind on interceptions on 32 compared to Leicester's 39.
