Defensive frailties made it easy for Wolves

Falling to a 2-0 away defeat to Wolves would not be a particularly bad result when seen on its own, but when the result comes after several other defeats Bournemouth look like a team that has lost its way. The Cherries are regularly conceding at least two goals a game at the moment and the clean sheets seem to be a thing of the past.
Charlie Daniels had a game to forget at Wolves.
For the second game in a row, Bournemouth were the cause of their own problems for the first goal. Their was little on for Wolves before Charlie Daniels played an aimless square ball across his own half that was eagerly latched on to. A lack of concentration proved very costly and losing the first goal is always difficult when playing away in front of a rowdy crowd.

The goal didn't affect Daniels too much. He tried to make his runs up the left side and put in a fair number of crosses. But with an injury to Tyrone Mings and a goal down there were no doubt images of the Newcastle defeat coming back in supporters' minds and maybe even the players. Fighting back when the odds seem against your requires great mental strength and AFCB don't have that at the moment when they are on such a poor run of results.

The second goal at Wolves was a consequence of chasing the game. Bournemouth were over stretched and I credit Wolves with the finish for both goals, as neither of them were simple, but Wolves didn't make a mistake. Bournemouth are sadly making too many mistakes at the moment to pick up points.

  1. You dontd like it up you do you, you had plenty of the ball but did sfa with it, our goalie didn't have a notable shot to save.
We had a relatively easy day letting you have the ball huffing and puffing while we just waited for the chance to score.
Your problem was twofold 1, that nob of a smug git manager and 2 you didn't have a ref to send two of our players off.
That dirty bastard Cooke should have gone for the foul on Jota!
All in all a good days work that leaves us nice and fresh for Liverpool on Friday!
