Bournemouth tripped out of the FA Cup after a disappointing performance that saw three goals go in against them. Without getting the first goal in a game, the Cherries are succumbing to teams in very quick fashion. While the team against Brighton was not composed of the usual first team line up, there are common themes about the performance that are creeping in.
I don't know whether Jordan Ibe is going to improve with the more games he plays or not. He does so much that is good leading up to the final moments of an attack and yet regularly choses the wrong option when he can either shoot or play another player in. It's becoming very predictable and the crowd are getting on his back, which will only make it harder for him. I suspect that Ibe may find himself out on loan next summer with his current rate of non-progression.
Lys Mousset is now going to feel under more pressure with the arrival of Dominic Solanke and that might be what made him anxious in front of goal in this match. He perhaps just has to believe in himself a little more.
I did feel that the match against Brighton could have been very different of the Cherries has scored first. It simply wasn't Bournemouth's day and Eddie Howe is looking at the mental fitness of his players after this defeat, as it is another setback for several members of the team.

Eddie Howe himself said that the team were playing well and dominating the game against Brighton when they just seemed to lose concentration, which is all that Anthony Knockaert needed to get a bit of space, and hit a shot that found the bottom corner of the net. But it was the chances that Bournemouth missed before that which will also haunt Eddie Howe.
