Bournemouth are limping to the end of the season

It was bad news for Gosling against Southampton in having to come off, and the knocks to Fraser and Brooks won't have done much to help Eddie Howe's plans for the next game. It is looking like a ragbag group of players as we head into the last couple of games, but the team spirit is what will get them through games now.
AFCB are down to The bar bones.
The players know they can throw everything they have got into those last matches to make the difference in the table and while 11th would be the very best AFCB could possibly hope to finish now, it has been a bit savage the amount of injuries that that have had to contend with. It really is becoming a try it and see if someone can play out of position okay in some places on the pitch for Howe at the moment. That Bournemouth aren't getting thrashed out of sight is perhaps rather remarkable and hopefully Howe can learn some things as well as his players in this end of season period, where Howe has to try something different through the lack of regular starters to pick from.

It kind of freshens the team up when the injuries mount up. Both Jack Simpson and Emerson Hyndman will have been waiting for these games, and now they have their chance. The work on the training ground now comes into play. Have they learnt enough about Bournemouth's style and can they bring it to the match day? It's about the team an how the team as a whole functions that matters and it's the team players that don't get used so much are getting the job done now for AFCB.

It probably makes it harder for opposition managers to know exactly what AFCB will do with picking certain individuals, but Eddie has everyone playing to the same style. Players should be able to slot in for different roles and it's a good challenge to see how much the youngsters can impress.
