Howe is keeping his enthusiasm for the AFCB job

Reading how please Eddie Howe was to be back training the players again was good to hear in the Bournemouth Echo. But the coaching he has to do will have to be better than ever to maintain AFCB's Premier League record and steer them to their highest ever finish.
Eddie Howe stays loyal to AFCB.
The need for Eddie Howe to keep his enthusiasm for this current team is essential. If Eddie is not excited by the players he is bringing in and is dissatisfied with those players who are still at the club, then it will be a very difficult season ahead. The belief that AFCB build for the season ahead comes now with hard training on the practise field. Howe will set the standards high, but he'll want to see the players getting excited about the work they are doing as well.

What I hope Howe does not feel is like this is another year when it could be a slog to get things right. If Howe is in any doubt about the preparations for the team and the level of commitment that the players are making then we may see one of more players find the door before the start of August.

There is a part of me that thinks Eddie Howe now has to find something extra to get more out of his players and to have a more successful season. He has been in the top two leagues in England for the past seven seasons, and now that the team is established in the Premier League it is perhaps understandable that the fans want to see more progression.

That is a lot of expectation for Howe to have on his shoulders. But Howe is used to it. He is not setting out in the Premier League for his first season. He has had difficult seasons and has come through them. If he remains excited that he can do something special with this AFCB team then that should be music to the ears of AFCB fans as Howe remains fully committed to getting the best out of this bunch of players.

  1. If you can't be motivated managing a PL team then when can you be? The challenges are tough, but it will be the same for about a dozen other managers who are in the same position? AFCB have evolved and yes this season more than any other recently will be a tester. The current squad is fat and six or seven players (Begovic,Ibe,Surman,Daniels,Brad Smith, and Mings?) need to be moved out IMO, getting replacements is key, but also exciting?
