While there has been deserved praise for the way AFCB Bournemouth played at Chelsea, we have to come back down to earth and consider that it is only three points. Safety is still a long way away, even if it is a bit closer. The chasing teams below Bournemouth are all starting to play better than they have in the very early part of the season, and the need to keep gaining points has to be stressed.
Back-to-back wins have been hard to come by for the Cherries. Before the Chelsea game you also had to go back to 2nd November to the previous clean sheet. The winning habit has not been in fresh supply and Bournemouth had to work extremely hard for their win at Stamford Bridge.
Bournemouth only managed a couple of shots on target at Chelsea as well. It was only by the thinnest of margins that the three points were gained. The players need to be switched on this week to remember how to defend set-pieces, because Burnley are the masters of the corner and have good height in their team.
The league table is still very tight with a win catapulting Bournemouth back towards the top 10 and a defeat putting them right on top of the relegation places. Getting safe is not gong to be achieved until the Spring at best, and the Christmas programme is unrelenting. But the players will at least enjoy this week and will be in a good frame of mind before Saturday's game which is of course another must win home match.

What I am saying is that AFCB's troubles are not over. They have to play a team that is physically a bully on Saturday. Burnley will be on the back of a win themselves and while they have not done well away from home, they'll be looking to turn that around at Bournemouth.
