Watford match is huge for the Cherries

Every match is big in the Premier League but the game against Watford this weekend is arguably the biggest match in Bournemouth's Premier League history to date. It may not be a match against a top six side, but it could well define whether Bournemouth have a good chance of staying up or are looking down the barrel of relegation.
AFCB have the chance to escape the bottom three this weekend.
While it is only three points up for grabs, it will be decisive in many respects for any team that loses. The game could see Watford or Bournemouth out of the bottom three and both sides will know that defeat will be a huge blow with the other side opening up a gap on the other. Neither team will be happy with a draw as a point is simply not enough to ease the pressure. We have seen Aston Villa, Southampton, Watford and Everton pick up points very quickly in recent weeks and Bournemouth can't keep dropping points if they want to survive.

Much of what Eddie Howe says will have to be directed on how well the players are now doing at Dean Court and how they can make the ground a very hard place for Watford. They must attack the game and do it without fear. Getting the upper hand will be Eddie Howe's first aim and it has been rare to see the Cherries find that quick start to games they have had in previous seasons.

If the players can get their minds focused on playing their football and not thinking about the consequences of the game then they will be ready. If they can hit Watford hard and early, they may well knock the fighting spirit out of the Hornets. A win would be demoralising for the loser and it's vital that Bournemouth don't show weakness now. This is the time to show up and the fans are also part of that. We must push out team on and encourage them that they do have what it takes to pull away from the bottom three places in the league.
