Bournemouth need new strikers

There is no hiding that fact that Bournemouth are going to need a couple of new strikers. Jason Tindall may be pleased with holding on to Dominic Solanke and Sam Surridge, but are they really enough fire power to see Bournemouth win promotion to the Premier League?
Solanke and Surridge need competition for places if King and Wilson are on their way out.
In their first outing together against Benfica, we didn't exactly see Solanke and Surridge causing a multitude of problems for Benfica's defence. It was mainly down to Danjuma to frighten the life out of the Portuguese side with his raw pace.

Bournemouth are expected to sell Josh King and Callum Wilson and they will need to buy extremely well to replace that type of quality. Personally, I don't see anything wrong in accepting Newcastle's offer of Matt Ricthie and Dwight Gayle for Callum Wilson along with some cash, but if Wilson is more set on Spurs then I don't see that deal coming off. Aston Villa are also said to be keen on Wilson, but I can't see that deal topping the Spurs interest either.

Bournemouth need strikers that are sed to the Championship and that won't cost mage bucks. They could look to the strikers at Championship clubs like Cardiff, Swansea, Preston, Nottingham Forest or Brentford, for example, that did well last time out, or they could look at Premier League strikers that aren't getting much of a runout like Connor Wickham at Palace or Origi at Liverpool. Such players might not want to drop down a league, but Bournemouth have to find some players to give them more fire power because they don't have enough without Callum and Josh.

  1. Morning, I really fear for Bournemouth this season. They need to sign at least 2 strikers and lots of others, all you hear about is who is leaving the club, not who's coming. glad to see a change in the training staff. Bournemouth really need a good shake up hit the ground running, the supporters want players who with give everything for our club. Last season was not good enough, from the Chairman, management and players. I hope at the end of this comming season I'm not saying the same again. GT

  2. Need to wait until King or Wilson are sold before making a move.

  4. Give Surridge a good run heaven knows we did with solanke. Remember what a disaster what Callum's first cruciate was for us first season and a young King looked raw but promising he got better and better and better each week. Granted we need another striker but my money is on Surridge to produce an excellent season if he is given the time we had to give King and chose to give Solanke.
