This is a fan’s personal view of AFC Bournemouth from the outside looking in. It reports on the daily official activities reported by the club and comments made by individual fans on social media and fanbase websites. Life as an AFCB fan is never dull. As a life-long supporter of the Cherries, it is the friendliness of the staff, fans and my enthusiasm for the club that inspired me to write this blog.

Grabban sits second in the Championship's goal scorer's table
Come on, be honest, how many of you thought Grabban would start the season so well? I can't say I had him as AFCB's top scorer after two games but he is starting make a name for himself. While it is easy to lament AFCB's heavy defeat at Watford there is a hint of optimism emerging in the shape of the form of Lewis Grabban. Behind all the headlines of Troy Deeney it may well be that AFCB also has a striker that is enjoying his football and looking to capitalise on the good start that he has made. Lewis did equally well at the start of the previous season before the goals dried up after Christmas.
The difficulty will be in trying to keep his run going in a tougher division. The early signs are though is that he is getting himself into the best positions to score and all of his goals have come from open play. I very much believe that strikers just get in the zone when they are playing well. It happened to Pitman last season and Grabban seems to have taken up the job this tie around. He seems to be at ease playing in the Championship and is not shirking the responsibility of shooting when a chance opens up for him. To me he also looks quicker and is passing the ball extremely well with quick lay-offs to other players. He has always been one to work hard and do a lot of running but he is really adding more to his game now. I have high hopes for Grabban to keep being in and amongst the goals. While he may defer a bit to Pitman when they are both on the pitch, I hope that Eddie tells him not to. He should now have the confidence to keep shooting and notch up a few more goals. So far Lewis is the only player for the Cherries to have a Championship goal and it will be important for others to get going as soon as they can. I'll be hoping that the ball starts flying in the opposition's net when we play Wigan.
