AFCB's new ruthless streak will be tested

You will have noticed that AFCB's goal difference is looking a bit better these days. At about 4.00pm on Saturday last week it was even better at nought but two comeback goals from Birmingham have pulled it back to -2 again. I don't think that goal difference is going to be something that AFCB can rely on to finish higher as the teams around them are some way ahead in that respect but a positive goal difference is at least very achievable now.

Can AFCB keep the run going?

The goals are starting to fly in now and the team does not look as if it is struggling to create chances anymore. AFCB will need that ruthlessness against QPR at home if they are to keep any play-off hopes alive. Dropping points to the London giants will not be great and it is perhaps the most difficult test the team will have had in recent weeks.

QPR are known to be stingy in conceding goals - 33 all season. Reading and Sheffield have put three past them  going back as mid-February, while Brighton put two past them in March. but they have only conceded two goals in their last three matches which tells me that AFCB will have to earn their goals against this side. To beat Wigan away at the DW stadium and keeping a clean sheet also signifies that QPR are getting back to being hard to beat.

So can the Cherries overwhelm the Hoops like they did against Leeds Utd? Harry Redkknapp will have watched that performance and will be looking at ways to counter Bournemouth's attacking threats. A draw for them would not be too bad in Redknapp's camp if they feel a play-off space is now their target, but it would be potentially damaging to AFCB who will be aiming to keep their momentum going with four strait wins. With Bournemouth topping the charts as the form team in the division it is going to be a mighty clash and I can't see a bore score draw on the cards. The Cherries can beat QPR if they get those early goals. Go behind and QPR tend to shut up shop and they are very good at it as their league position suggests. 

So AFCB can go into this game with a lot of confidence knowing that a win would set them up for an even bigger match against Reading.
