QPR will be like a cup game for the Cherries

Well, we are coming down to the final few games in this year's Championship. Eddie Howe has already mentioned how he has been looking forward to the QPR fixture all season. I don't think that he felt AFCB got their just rewards when the two teams played up at Loftus Road earlier in December and there is a chance to put that right today.

Players before the match at Loftus Road earlier in the season.
While Bournemouth have been churning out wins as regular as clockwork it has been a bit more difficult for QPR in the last month. The pressure that Harry Redknapp and his players are under must be huge as they know Burnley and Leicester City are disappearing out of site towards the Premier League. What is worse for them is that they can see Derby County and Wigan looking to make it really difficult for them in the play-offs. It may even be that AFCB can keep upsetting the odds and win a place in that final round of matches and QPR could even be an opponent if the Cherries can keep picking up points.

The task this afternoon will be far from easy for the Cherries. But AFCB have been playing the players on the pitch and not the names or the reputations in recent weeks and I expect a similar attitude at the weekend. They may be QPR, have a bigger budget and bigger names with many more supporters, but we are AFCB and we don't care how big the opposition is - we'll give you a game.

This will be like a cup match. The game was going to be big wherever the teams were in the table at this stage, simply because of the connections that the two clubs have, but with important points to play for, this is now going to be an even more fantastic occasion and it's one to be enjoyed not feared. AFCB are the form team and at home - Harry you may find it difficult to go home to Sandra after this game, even if it is only a short trip!

We are beginning to reminisce about the season a bit already.
